  • 1 kg walnuts 
  • 5 limes
  • 500 grams sugar 
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice 
  • Cardamom as needed 
  • Cinnamon stick as needed
  • Cloves as needed

Directions

Step One

Put the walnuts in a water bowl and set aside for at least 10 days. During this time, change their water every day. 

Step Two

Put the lime in a bowl and add 4 glasses of water. Let the lime settle, and then slowly pour the lime juice into another bowl. 

Step Three

Soak walnuts in lime water for 12 hours. After 12 hours, take them out, wash them well and soak them in water for another day.

Note: Change the water several times during this time.

Step Four

Take a pot, put it on high heat, pour sugar into a pot with 2 glasses of water, and let it reach the boiling point and thicken. Now, add the walnuts and let it simmer for 15 minutes. 

Step Five

Add your favorite spices, such as cardamom, cinnamon, or cloves, along with lemon juice, and let it cook a little longer.
