How to Make Khorovats Grill?

Ingredients

  • 1 kg roasted pork
  • 250 grams bacon 
  • 2 large onions 
  • 100 milliliters water 
  • Salt and pepper as needed
  • Other spices according to your taste

Directions

Step One

To make a delicious Khorovats, finely chop the meat, and place it in a bowl. Cut the onion into rings, and add them to the meat. Add spices, pour water, and marinate for 30 minutes. 

Step Two

Cut the bacon into thin layers. After marinating the meat, skewer the Khorovats with onions and bacon in the middle. In this recipe, we use containers to make the Khorovats. So, take a container and place the skewers in it.

Step Three

Put the remaining onion on the bottom of the container. Remember that you should put 4-5 skewers in each container.

Step Four

Close the container with foil and make sure the outside of the container is dry. Place in a cold oven (so that the glass does not break) and turn it on 180-200С, 60-80 minutes. 

Step Five

Carefully (as slowly as possible) open the oven to avoid damaging the glass due to temperature fluctuations. After doing this, you can eat.

  • Note: You can also skewer the Khorovats and fry them on charcoal.

How to Serve Khorovats?

After an hour, take the Khorovats out of the oven, serve, and enjoy!
