- 150 ml of whipped cream
Directions
Step One
To prepare the Original Hungarian Somlói Galuska, separate the egg whites, mix them with 1 tablespoon of sugar until they have a foamy texture, and then set aside.
Step Two
Add the remaining 3 tablespoons of sugar, flour, baking powder, water and a little mixture of egg whites to the egg yolks and mix. Then add the rest of the foam and mix slowly. Pour the ingredients into a baking tray lined with oil paper, and bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
Step Three
Prepare the cocoa and walnut sponge cakes in the same way as above.
Step Four
For the vanilla sauce, mix the egg yolks with the flour, sugar, cream, vanilla and a little milk in a bowl and stir until they are well mixed. Boil the rest of the milk and mix it with the ingredients in the bowl. Place in a water bath, thicken with continuous stirring with a whisk.
Step Five
Soak the raisins in a little water and put them in the microwave for a few minutes so that they swell. After a few minutes, take them out and set them aside.
Step Six
For the syrup, take a pot, pour sugar into 0.3 liters of water and wait until it reaches the boiling point. Meanwhile, add the grated orange and lemon peel and the rum. Set aside to cool.
